DuaLab is a software studio in Kuala Lumpur. It builds Islamic apps and web systems for mosques, Islamic schools, and Muslim founders, and it ships and operates its own Islamic apps on the same stack it sells.
Who Does the Work
The studio is the builder. The same person who scopes your project writes the code and answers your email, with no account manager in between and no offshore team the work is quietly handed to. That is the whole reason a fixed price can be published instead of quoted per enquiry: the person setting the number is the person who has to deliver it.
Why a Studio That Ships Its Own Apps
Most companies offering Islamic app development are outsourcing agencies with an Islamic landing page. DuaLab is the other way around: the studio built and operates 1Ramadan, a Ramadan countdown app on Google Play, runs Takbir on official JAKIM e-Solat prayer times, runs Takziah as a free condolence-poster generator, and operates the fee-collection system behind its own Quran class business. A builder who prays with the prayer times he computes catches the details a requirements document never captures.
How the Studio Works
Every project is a fixed quote in writing, the repository is created under the client’s account on day one, and the stack is deliberately boring: React Native with Expo for apps, Laravel for web systems, documented so any developer can take over. Prices are published on the pricing page instead of hidden behind an enquiry form, so you can rule DuaLab out without talking to anyone.
What DuaLab Does Not Do
The studio does not take Islamic fintech or Sharia-compliance work, because that needs scholars and regulatory licensing it does not have. It does not sell zakat collection systems, since zakat administration in Malaysia belongs to each state’s Majlis Agama Islam. It does not do design-only or staff-augmentation engagements. Saying so early saves both sides a call.

Mosques and Islamic organisations worldwide, in English; sekolah agama, tahfiz centres, and masjid in Malaysia, in Bahasa Melayu. Alongside client work, the studio continues to build and operate its own products, which is where the shelf of apps under products comes from.
