Most app preferences are stored locally on your device, and any data on our servers is encrypted. We use analytics and ads to run the Android app, never sell your personal data, and you can request access, correction, or deletion at any time. The Chrome extension is separate: it collects nothing, has no ads or analytics, and makes no network requests.
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how 1Ramadan (listed as Ramadan Countdown on Google Play) and the 1Ramadan Chrome extension, both operated by DuaLab, collect, use, and protect your information. Sections 2 to 7 describe the Android app; section 8 describes the Chrome extension, which collects nothing at all. Most app preferences are stored locally on your device; any information held on our servers is encrypted.
2. Data We Collect
Information you provide voluntarily: your app preferences, settings, and notification preferences. Information collected automatically: device information, usage data, approximate location data, and crash reports used to keep the app running reliably.
3. How We Use Data
We use this information to operate the countdown and reminders, adjust timing to your location, improve features, diagnose crashes, and serve ads that keep the app free. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Third-Party Services
The app uses Google Play Services, Firebase Analytics, and AdMob. These services handle some information under their own privacy policies; please review them for details on their data practices.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
6. Children’s Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
7. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, opt out of analytics and personalised ads, and request data portability. Contact us to exercise any of these rights.
8. Chrome Extension
The 1Ramadan Chrome extension, listed on the Chrome Web Store as “1Ramadan: Ramadan Countdown 2027”, collects no data. Your language, country, when the countdown appears and where it sits are saved with Chrome storage and never reach us. The extension runs on the pages you open only to draw the countdown on top of them: it does not read, store, or transmit page content, addresses, browsing history, or anything you type. Ramadan dates ship inside the extension, so it makes no network requests, and it contains no ads, analytics, or third-party code.
