In short
Copy Page Title and URL does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. It reads the active tab’s title and address only when you click to copy, writes them to your clipboard, and forgets them. Nothing ever leaves your browser.
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how the Copy Page Title and URL browser extension, published by DuaLab, handles information. In short: it does not collect any data about you. It is a separate extension from Copy Page Title, with its own package and its own policy.
2. Data we collect
None. The extension does not collect, store, log, or transmit any personal or usage data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no servers, and makes no network requests of any kind.
3. Permissions we use
Two, and only what each is named for. “activeTab” gives temporary access to the tab you are looking at, granted by your click and expiring with it, so the extension can read that tab’s title and address. “scripting” lets one short bundled snippet run in that same tab, on that same click, to place the copied link on your clipboard, because writing rich text to the clipboard needs a page context that a background service worker does not have. The extension requests no host permissions and no all-sites access, which is why installing it shows no permission warning.
4. What goes on your clipboard
The title and address of the active tab, written in two formats at once: a rich-text link and a markdown link. Both stay in your system clipboard, which your operating system controls. The extension keeps no copy of either.
5. Page content
The extension does not read, store, or transmit the content of the pages you visit. It uses the tab’s title and address, nothing else, and only at the moment you click.
6. Third-party services
None. The extension contains no analytics, no trackers, no advertising, and no remotely hosted code. Everything that runs ships inside the reviewed package.
8. Restricted pages
Chrome blocks every extension from running on chrome:// pages, the Chrome Web Store, and the new tab page. On those the button shows a grey dash and copies nothing. That is a browser restriction, not a choice by this extension.
9. Children’s privacy
The extension collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new date above.
