DeepShot does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. It captures the tab you choose only when you click, stitches the screenshot on your device, and saves it to your downloads. Nothing ever leaves your browser.
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how the DeepShot browser extension, published by DuaLab, handles information. In short: it does not collect any data about you. Its single purpose is to capture the web page in your current tab as one full-page PNG image.
2. Data We Collect
None. DeepShot does not collect, store, log, or transmit any personal or usage data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no servers, and makes no network requests of any kind.
3. Permissions We Use
Two, and only what each is named for. “activeTab” gives temporary access to the tab you are looking at, granted by your click on the toolbar icon or keyboard shortcut and expiring with it, so the extension can capture that tab. “scripting” lets the bundled capture script run in that same tab, on that same click, to scroll the page, stitch the captured sections onto a canvas, and save the finished PNG. The extension requests no host permissions and no all-sites access, which is why installing it shows no permission warning.
4. Where Your Screenshot Goes
The stitched PNG is saved to your downloads folder on your device, named after the page title. The extension keeps no copy, and the image is never uploaded, transmitted, or shared.
5. Page Content
The pixels of the page you capture exist only inside your browser during stitching and in the PNG file saved on your device. The extension does not read, store, or transmit page content beyond producing that image, and it acts only at the moment you invoke it.
6. Third-Party Services
None. The extension contains no analytics, no trackers, no advertising, and no remotely hosted code. Everything that runs ships inside the reviewed package.
8. Restricted Pages
Chrome blocks every extension from running on chrome:// pages, the Chrome Web Store, and the new tab page. On those, DeepShot cannot capture. That is a browser restriction, not a choice by this extension.
9. Children’s Privacy
The extension collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.
10. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new date above.
